June 25 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
The public is invited to a free QPR training at Sourcewell in Staples on June 25th, from 11:30-1PM. Free pizza will be provided.
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying “Yes” to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.
Trainers are Stephanie Downey, Youth Suicide Prevention Coordinator, and Mary Marana of the Crisis Center.
The training is offered by Todd County CAD. CAD’s Mission: CAD strives to prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by youth in Todd County. CAD’s Vision: A culture that inspires youth to be alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free.
Registration is required! Contact Connie Burns by June 15th at email@example.com.
